Our team is growing and we are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Brisbane office. About the role
- Be a key contributor to the delivery of multi‑disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies.
- Deliver technical solutions in accordance with project scope, timeframes and best practice standards.
- Prepare technical reports related to design issues.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule.
- Develop the mechanical work plan for inclusion into the project specific execution plan.
- Manage and review Engineering Work Packages (EWP) associated with all deliverables and time‑based functions to ensure that budgets and schedules are being met, and take corrective action if necessary.
- Review and approve mechanical technical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings, etc.).
- Assist in the preparation and development of project specific procedures.
- Ensure that company‑approved design tools, software and relevant codes and standards are used on the project. About you
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering & RPEQ accreditation.
- Experience in the detailed design of mineral processing plants.
- Experience with copper, gold, nickel or base metals is highly advantageous.
- 10+ years in an EPCM environment.
- Extremely well‑developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and client liaison skills.
- Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan the work.
- Excellent understanding and belief in safety principles, standards and legislation.
