Piping Engineer – Industrial Mechanical (Brisbane City)

Key Responsibilities
- Produce concept and detailed engineering designs aligned with client needs.
- Produce engineering design deliverables such as calculations, datasheets, specifications, reports, bid evaluations and estimates.
- Provide design support across piping and pumped systems, pipelines, hydraulic analysis, mechanical engineering design and analysis.
- Work with a team of engineers on small to large, multidisciplinary projects to deliver fully coordinated outcomes, managing your own budget and schedule expectations.
- Apply problem‑solving skills to develop creative solutions.

- Experience with detailed mechanical and piping design in areas such as piping and pumped systems, piping design/stress analysis, pipelines, or hydraulic analysis.
- Awareness of the process industry and relevant standards (e.g., AS, API, ASME) and practices relating to process piping, pipelines, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and rotating machinery.
- Awareness and knowledge of pipe stress analysis principles and interface with process, mechanical, and structural engineering.
- Working knowledge of engineering software such as Bentley AutoPIPE, Caesar II, Nozzle PRO, WaterGEMS/Bentley HAMMER, FluidFlow, AFT FATHOM, and ANSYS.
- Understanding of pipe class specifications and underpinning piping design code calculations.
- Understanding of applying project principles and methodologies to manage projects and achieve program outcomes.
- Strong written communication skills to articulate technical decisions with due justification.
