Responsibilities Your passion and technical expertise will be deployed across a number of diverse projects, exposing you to a variety of industries such as transport, water, mining, energy, property and buildings, and government sectors. Our geotechnical capability thrives on managing ground‑related risks and delivering projects safely and economically. You will work in a community of geotechnical and geological staff, supported by Principal, Executive and Director staff locally, nationally and globally.
- Designing, undertaking and managing geotechnical investigation projects from proposal preparation to fieldwork, analysis and reporting.
- Performing desktop studies, fieldwork and laboratory scheduling for geotechnical investigations.
- Using investigation results to deliver designs that contribute to multidisciplinary projects across all sectors.
- Supporting clients during construction to ensure designs are built according to intent.
- Supporting national experts in delivering geotechnical services to manage ground risk and support infrastructure development.
- Working closely with geotechnical colleagues and other disciplines throughout project delivery.
- Driving business development through successful project delivery.
- Promoting a safe working culture by identifying and eliminating safety hazards. Qualifications
- A civil engineering or geotechnical degree, or related degree.
- Postgraduate qualifications in a geotechnical related field considered favorably.
- Proven track record in project managing field investigations for small to medium‑sized projects.
- Willingness to spend time in the field collecting high‑quality data.
- Demonstrated promotion of innovation in geotechnical engineering to create value for clients and projects.
- Experience in preparing written technical reports and client communications.
- Experience in geotechnical design, including rock/soil/structure interaction.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously and in a team.
- Capability to take responsibility for investigation and design delivery as a geotechnical Design Manager. Additional Skills and Attributes
