Safety Advisor (Brisbane City)

A well-established, privately owned builder-developer with a strong footprint across South East Queensland is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to support a sustained pipeline of commercial and multi-residential projects. Projects are locally based, ensuring minimal travel and strong continuity across sites. Opportunity You will take ownership of site-based safety across a portfolio of commercial and multi-residential builds, playing a key role in embedding a proactive and high-performing safety culture. Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the primary safety lead on-site, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and internal frameworks
- Partnering with site teams and subcontractors to drive safe work practices and positive behavioural outcomes
- Conducting site inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions
- Leveraging established systems (including HammerTech) to manage reporting, audits, and site compliance
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the broader HSE function Projects & Structure
- Diverse portfolio including multi-storey residential, commercial, and retail developments
- Regionally aligned HSE team (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast) to support work-life balance About You
- Demonstrated experience as a site-based Safety Advisor within the construction sector
- Exposure to commercial vertical builds and/or large industrial sheds
- Confident working autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on influencing positive safety behaviours
