The Opportunity As a Mechanical Engineer II , you’ll own the design and analysis of the structures and mechanical systems of hypersonic vehicles. Working alongside a high-performing team of engineers and designers, you’ll ensure that the mechanical integrity and performance of the vehicles is maintained throughout the development process. - Design and analyse mechanical structures and systems for cutting-edge hypersonic vehicles
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure structural integrity, performance and reliability.
- Use advanced simulation and analysis tools to evaluate performance under different operating conditions.
- Contribute to innovative technologies and process improvements that enhance vehicle capability and efficiency.
- Work closely with senior engineers, while managing external partners and suppliers as required
- Play an active role in building a safe, high-performance engineering environment, taking accountability for yourself and your team.
- From time to time, undertake other responsibilities, consistent with skills, qualifications, and experience.

What you’ll bring To hit the ground running in this role, you’ll need:

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical systems design and simulation in the aerospace sector.
- Strong technical background in mechanical design and analysis, including experience with computer simulations and analysis tools.
- Experience with aircraft design.
- Experience with design for production.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to obtain any applicable security clearance or background checks.
- Right to live and work in Australia.
