A rare chance exists for a highly motivated Senior Associate to join our leading litigation and dispute resolution team to assist with running the team’s building and construction disputes and litigation. This role is ideal for an experienced commercial litigator with a strong background in construction disputes and litigation, who seeks to focus in building and construction space matters whilst also retaining a practice in commercial litigation. The candidate will have the opportunity to assist with expanding Cooper Grace Ward’s back-end construction litigation practice and capacity. You will work at one of Brisbane’s premier litigation practices, under the guidance of practitioners renowned for delivering exceptional outcomes. The role: The role offers:

About you Your experience and capabilities will include:
- At least 5 years’ PAE at a top-tier, national or boutique litigation practice, with significant experience as a Senior Associate
- Demonstrated expertise in construction disputes and litigation, including acting for principals, contractors, and consultants in complex matters and security for payment matters
- Strong technical credentials and the ability to provide clear, strategic advice on complex legal issues
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to draft complex and technical advice and court documents
- Outstanding litigation and dispute resolution experience across construction, general commercial litigation, property disputes, insolvency, and regulatory matters
- Skills to manage a varied and demanding case list involving multiple areas of law
- Sound judgment, commercial acumen, and the ability to quickly assimilate new information and problem-solve
- Strong work ethic, commitment to outstanding client service, and a proactive, innovative approach
- The ability to work well as part of a close-knit team and mentor junior lawyers
