Systems Engineer – Electrical / Electronics Sydney | Defence Industry | NV1 Eligible Join a growing Australian defence technology company delivering advanced mission-critical systems across complex engineering environments. We are seeking a Systems Engineer with an electrical/electronics background who understands how to translate operational and technical needs into clear engineering requirements across the full systems lifecycle. This role will suit someone who enjoys working across multidisciplinary teams and has experience in requirements development, verification, integration and technical documentation within highly regulated environments. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, analyse and manage system requirements
- Translate customer and operational needs into technical specifications
- Support systems architecture, integration and verification activities
- Work closely with electrical, electronics, software and mechanical engineering teams
- Participate in requirements traceability, validation and compliance activities
- Contribute to design reviews, technical documentation and engineering governance
- Support the delivery of complex defence capability projects About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in Systems Engineering within defence, aerospace, rail, automotive or other safety-critical environments
- Solid understanding of requirements creation and management
- Exposure to tools such as DOORS, Jama, Enterprise Architect or similar is highly regarded
- Ability to work across the full engineering lifecycle
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with verification and validation processes advantageous Security Requirements Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance. Why Apply?
