Position: Communications Coordinator We’re seeking a collaborative Communications Coordinator and as a national practice we welcome applications from any of our studio locations — Melbourne, New South Wales, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, or the Northern Territory. The Communications Coordinator plays a central role in shaping how Hames Sharley presents itself to clients, collaborators, and the broader built environment community. Working within the Brand & Communications team, this role supports the practice's thought leadership, project storytelling, and brand presence across multiple channels and studios. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and produce content for internal and external communications, including project announcements, award submissions, capability statements, and social media.
- Support the development and maintenance of the practice's digital presence, including website content updates, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
- Draft, edit, and proofread communications materials to a high standard, ensuring consistency with the Hames Sharley brand voice and tone.
- Assist with the preparation of media releases, editorial submissions, and thought leadership articles in collaboration with portfolio leaders.
- Coordinate and manage the editorial calendar, tracking deadlines and ensuring timely delivery of content across studios.
- Support the coordination of events, seminars, and industry engagements, including logistics and promotional materials. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of experience in a communications, marketing, or content role, preferably within the built environment, architecture, engineering, or professional services sector.
- Exposure to digital channels including websites (CMS platforms) and social media.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) is advantageous.
- Attention to detail with the ability to juggle competing priorities and deadlines. Benefits
