Structural Design Engineer (Brisbane City)

The Coastal Engineering and Management of SJ and SMEC are looking for an experienced Structural Design Engineer in land reclamation development project with the following qualifications:Key Qualifications:* Bachelor's Degree in relevant field;* Qualified Registration:* Minimum 5 years' experience in structural design.**Key Responsibilities*** Be responsible for all Structural design activities for the project, including all quality control and checking of designs.* Provide qualified and competent structural engineering for commercial, public, industrial, railway stations and other structures, including retaining walls and foundations. The services would include field work (limited), analysis, design and reporting.* Be able to liaise with Client and other stakeholders independently during the design process and ensure client requirements are clearly identified and addressed.* Liaise with other disciplines involved in the Project such as the architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil and rail teams to ensure all structures are fit for purpose, code compliant and meet the Client’s requirements.* Interface with railway system designers to ensure compatibility of designs with railway system requirements.* Provide clear and concise reports related to the design, and in accordance with the Client requirements.* Review and check CADD and drafting outputs in relation to Structural design.* Certify under seal all Structural engineering designs and drawings.* Assist in the preparation of Specifications and Bills of Quantities as required.At Surbana Jurong, we put talent, hard work, teamwork and a fun workplace together to approach problems and solve them creatively and collaboratively.
