**Male Disability Support Workers, Broadmeadows area, experience with ADHD and ASD in adolescent and young participants.**

We are currently looking for **MALE Disability Support Workers in the Broadmeadows area and surrounding suburbs.**
**Monday
- Friday
- 6am
- 9am
- Once a fortnight
- Same week (ongoing )**
**Monday
- Thursday
- 3pm
- 6pm
- Once a fortnight
- Same week (ongoing )**
**Providing services that include (but are not limited to): in-home support, meal preparation, prompting, companionship, transports, daily living assistance.**
As a Support Worker you will need to demonstrate the following: Ability to understand the vulnerabilities and needs of people with disability and the issues faced by their families.
Commitment to the welfare, rights, and personal development of people with disabilities
To understand and maintain confidentiality and privacy of clients
Maintain individual’s and service records in an objective manner which is clear and concise in accordance with Empowering Options' policy and procedures.
**DUTIES INCLUDE**: Assisting to access the community and social programs
- e.g. Medical appointments, Shopping and/or social outings AND assisting clients with daily activities.
**REQUIREMENTS**
To be considered for this role you must have the below mandatory requirements:
- Hold Certificate or currently studying IV/III in Disability/or in Ageing Support/ Cert III individual support or have a level of understanding towards caring for people with disabilities.
- Current Certificate for First Aid and CPR
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- You must be a reliable, responsible attitude towards work and able to commit to regular hours.
- A current driver’s license and access to vehicle with a comprehensive insurance that you can use for work purposes and be available for shifts.
- Willing to complete both NDIS Orientation Module (**free of charge**) and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Evidence of eligibility to work within Australia.
- You must have and/or willing to obtain the Australian police check
