**Provide counselling support services to clients in our clinic at the Immigration Detention Centre located at Broadmeadows, VIC on a part time basis.**

**The Role**: The counsellor will provide counselling services in the Immigration Detention Facility through assessment, case formulation and case management, structured interview techniques and therapeutic interventions. Key responsibilities:

- Facilitate group sessions on a diverse range of mental health topics
- Provide health promotion education and activities
- Provide assessment, counselling and casework services including support and referral services
- Help to organise excursions or other activities of a pro-active nature that will help with the well-being of the population
- Ensure that documentation is accurate, precise and concise

**Requirements**:

- Full working rights in Australia
- Relevant qualifications and experience in counselling, social welfare, education or social sciences
- 3 years proven experience in the delivery of counselling services, case management and case coordination in mental health setting
- Experience working in AoD areas or with individuals with AoD issues highly desirable
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid Certificate
