About Us GMBS is a small Australian-owned engineering consultancy business, specialising in fire safety, mechanical services, and building compliance. Based in Brookvale on Sydney's Northern Beaches, we provide independent inspections, audits, and certification services across a wide range of commercial and industrial properties. Our team works closely with building owners, property managers, Council and contractors to ensure buildings remain safe and compliant. About the Role You will support compliance management across approximately 300 properties, ensuring all statutory, financial, and operational requirements are met. This is a casual part‑time role (2–3 days per week) to initially cover a maternity leave position. There is some flexibility around how many days and hours are worked, within school hours is fine. There is potential for ongoing work or future opportunities within the business. This role is ideal for someone who lives local and enjoys structured administrative work, accuracy, and supporting a small, friendly team. Key Responsibilities
· Liaise with contractors, Council, and property managers in relation to inspections, reports and certifications
· Prepare fee proposals for compliance works
· Reconcile accounts and invoices using Xero
· Process monthly credit card statements
· Follow up on outstanding items to ensure deadlines are met About You
· Knowledge of Xero or other accounting software
· Excellent organisational and time management skills
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· Robust written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
· Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
· Minimum 1-2 years of administration experience
· Australian work rights required Desirable (not essential):
· Experience in property, facilities management, or fire compliance
· Experience managing large property portfolios What We Offer
