**School Coordinator Level 1 (2 year Max Term Contract with possibility of extension) + Permanent Class Teacher position.**

Join our team as a _Leader of Learning & Wellbeing
- School Coordinator (Level 1)_ in a two year max term contract with possibility of extension, with the peace of mind that the successful applicant has a permanent teacher role at the school. This is a fantastic chance to grow your leadership experience while making a real difference in a supportive and collaborative setting. In the two year coordinator role, you may be required to undertake some on-class teaching responsibilities.

As a _Leader of Learning & Wellbeing,_ you will lead and collaborate with a team of specialists including teachers, teacher's aides, school therapists, coordinators, administrators and other Aspect staff to deliver our evidence-informed, student-focused autism-specific approach. Use a person-centred and family-focused approach to ensure the delivery of quality educational standards. As a core member of the school's Learning Support Team (LST), you will lead and supervise the teaching team and partner parents, carers, and other members of the school community.

In 2026 our satellites classes will be based at Eastwood, Lane Cove and St Ives. You may be required to work at any of these sites as a teacher, and may oversee some or all of the satellite classes in your role as a coordinator, and therefore must be able to travel to these sites on any given day if student or staff support is needed. Our main campus classes are situated at 41 Cook Street, Forestville.

Our dedicated Educators are transforming the landscape of autism education, paving the way for brighter futures and boundless opportunities for our students.

**About the School**: Aspect Vern Barnett School provides placement for approximately 105 students on the autism spectrum from ages 4 to 16 years from Forestville, as well as from 5 satellite classes within the Catholic and Department of Education Schools in Sydney’s northern suburbs. In 2026 our satellites classes will be based at Eastwood, Lane Cove and St Ives. - To provide for consistency of support, we are looking for coordinators who are currently working or are available to work full-time (38hrs per week) 5 days per week starting Term 1, 2026.
- Recognised University or Tertiary teaching qualifications (as determined by NESA)
- Registration with NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority)
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others
- Ability to work with Assisted School Transport (ASTP) providers and contractors as needed
- Proven ability to manage the daily staffing schedule and process as required
- Proven ability to work with staff and parents and engage in proactive but sometimes difficult conversations.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities including team support
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum and other areas of need.
- Experience in developing IP's and curriculum for students on the autism spectrum.
- NSW Working With Children Check for paid employment
- Have a current driver's licence (per relevant state legislation)
- A Light Rigid (LR) driver's licence is desirable but not necessary.
- You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance.

**Additional Information** What we offer**:

- Full-time base salary range of **$90,100k
- $127,281k**(depending on qualifications, accreditation and relevant teaching experience) + special education allowance **$3,699 p.a.** + superannuation
