About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee daily operations across our deli and kitchen. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a busy food retail environment and can balance operational efficiency with team management. You will be responsible for leading a passionate team, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards in product presentation, service, and store cleanliness. Your leadership will directly influence customer engagement, sales growth, and team development. Key Responsibilities: o Plan and manage product range, ensuring alignment with customer demand and seasonal trends. o Determine stock levels and ensure timely replenishment while minimising overstocking and shortages. o Develop and maintain high in-store service standards to enhance customer experience. o Design and implement local marketing initiatives, promotions, and advertising campaigns. o Set and manage pricing strategies in line with business objectives and market conditions. o Lead customer engagement initiatives, providing personalised service and expert product knowledge. o Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock movements, and daily financial transactions. o Prepare and manage store budgets, ensuring cost control and financial performance targets are met. o Oversee recruitment, training, rostering, and performance management of staff. o Foster a positive and team-focused work environment through effective leadership and supervision. o Ensure full compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS), food safety regulations, and company policies. Skills and Experience: o At least 3 years of relevant full-time work experience in retail management or supervisory role, preferably within the food, hospitality, or FMCG sectors. o Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. o Experience in stock control, ordering, and cost management. o Knowledge of POS systems and retail operations. o Strong organizational and communication skills. o Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. o understanding of retail financials including budgeting, cost control, and sales performance reporting. o Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply. A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Retail Management, Business, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred, or Equivalent Work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. 2. Alternatively, significant hands-on experience in retail operations and leadership may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
