About the role
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team at Dad & Dave's Brewing in Brookvale, NSW. This is a full-time position, and you will be responsible for maintaining the financial records and accounts of our growing craft brewery and beverage production.
What you'll be doing Performing all bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, inventory control, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations Preparing and submitting BAS and other tax returns Generating financial reports and statements for management Providing support to the finance team and collaborating with other departments Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing efficient systems
What we're looking for Minimum 2 years' experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a medium-sized hospitality business Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to maintain accurate financial records Proficiency in using Xero and cloud-based applications Intermediate-level Xero proficiency with experience in generating reports Inventory control experience Specific inventory control experience within the hospitality or beverage industry Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Robust communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team Familiarity with Australian tax and compliance requirements Valid Australian work visa or appropriate work authorisation
