Cibaria Manly is a beachside Italian venue that will offer a diverse selection of ‘rias’ as our menu explores all the goodness that Italian food and drinks are known for.

Our caffetteria will bring a taste of Italy’s rich coffee culture to Manly, serving expertly crafted espresso, silky cappuccinos, and indulgent affogatos alongside house-made pastries and artisanal gelato.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Head Barista to lead our coffee program and deliver an exceptional experience to our guests.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Fluent in English, spoken
- Full Australian working rights
- Minimum 1 year experience in a specialty coffee or high-volume café setting
- Strong knowledge of dialling in, extraction, milk texturing, and latte art
- Leadership experience
- ability to train, mentor, and manage barista staff
- High level of attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain exceptional standards
- Excellent grooming and presentation
- Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

- Speak Italian? Bonus!
- Knowledge of Italian coffee culture and traditions
- Experience with stock control and equipment maintenance

YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Leading the caffetteria team and maintaining high coffee standards
- Dialling in and ensuring consistent extractions
- Troubleshooting & machine maintenance to ensure perfect extraction everytime
- Texturing milk to perfection and creating quality latte art
- Training and mentoring junior baristas
- Managing stock, ordering, and equipment maintenance
- Ensuring a rapid and efficient coffee service during busy periods
