Warehouse & Sales Associate (Vacancy No. 137) (Brookvale)

**We are currently seeking a Yard & Warehouse Associates with forklift license for our Building Supplies store in Brookvale.**

**Job Summary**

The Yard & Warehouse Associates' primary responsibility is to accurately and safely move product within a yard, store, or warehouse, and support the team in meeting and exceeding customer’s expectations of service delivery. They may assist customers directly, including transact sales.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Operates a forklift;
- Performs material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, loading and unloading;
- Handles inbound material receiving and allocation to store or warehouse;
- Assists in maintaining general cleanliness of warehouse including sweeping floors;
- Accurately loads vehicles for outgoing deliveries;
- Checks stock levels and notify appropriate supervisor when minimum stock levels are reached;
- Reports all damage and/or loss of stock;
- Builds product knowledge;
- Co-operates with other departments and work locations to fulfil customer orders;
- Completes work orders and receiving documents accurately;
- Maintains a protected and clean work environment, utilising personal protective equipment and safe work practices to promote the safety of self and teammates;
- Reports any incidents relating to work, health and safety;
- Works inside the store or warehouse, and/or outside in the yard depending on need;
- Pulls and prepares orders, preparing and packaging for deliveries;
- Works with team to ensure branch success and provides excellent customer service;
- May:

- Assist with customer enquiries;
- Operate point of sale (POS) system to transact sales;
- Assists on other related duties as requested.

**Key Requirements**
- Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks with mínimal supervision;
- Team player;
- Experience with building materials desirable, but not essential;
- Able to lift/move heavy materials (up to 25kg) on occasion;
- Minimum of one year experience in a warehouse/yard position desirable, but not essential;
- Forklift experience highly desired;
