Bar Supervisor – Roebuck Bay Hotel Location: Broome, WA Employment Type: Full time Salary: $69000 About Us The Roebuck Bay Hotel is an iconic hospitality venue in the heart of Broome, offering premium food, beverage, and entertainment experiences. We take pride in delivering outstanding customer service and fostering a vibrant, team-oriented work environment. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Bar Supervisor to join our team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional to take the next step in their career within a dynamic and fast-paced setting. Role Overview As a Bar Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of your designated venue, ensuring seamless service, high-quality beverage preparation, and exceptional customer experiences. You will lead a team of food and beverage attendants, manage inventory, maintain compliance with liquor licensing regulations, and uphold the highest standards of operational efficiency and service excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support bar staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Deliver outstanding customer service, addressing guest needs and resolving concerns professionally
- Manage bar stock levels, including ordering, restocking, and monitoring usage
- Oversee cash handling procedures, including accurate POS transactions and till reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) regulations and licensing requirements
- Conduct staff training and mentoring to enhance service standards and team performance
- Assist in event and function execution, ensuring high-quality service delivery
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace safety in accordance with company policies About You We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong leadership and communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to operational excellence. To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Sound knowledge of RSA regulations, liquor licensing laws, and TAB compliance (preferred)
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- A proactive and customer-focused approach to service delivery
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- A valid RSA certification
- A valid food handling certification
- Ability to obtain a positive skills assessment from VETASSESS, if required under the Kimberly Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA). Why Join Us?
