Role This is a 6 month fixed term, full‑time position commencing Term 1, 2027. We are looking for a dedicated and innovative Woodwork Teacher to join our team at Broome Senior High School. Responsibilities
- Teach Wood Technology to Years 7‑10, including a Clontarf Academy class.
- Teach General Materials Design and Technology to Years 11‑12.
- Deliver relevant, engaging, and practical Woodwork programs aligned with the Western Australian Technologies curriculum.
- Create inclusive learning environments that support a diverse range of student needs.
- Contribute to the broader life, values, and policies of the school community, engaging in ongoing professional learning and building positive partnerships with colleagues, parents, and external networks. Qualifications
- Eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of appointment.
- Completed a WA Working with Children Check and a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check with a current Screening Clearance Number.
- Commitment to cultural responsiveness, trauma‑informed practice, and building high‑expectation relationships to support positive student outcomes (highly regarded).
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students is highly regarded. Skilled Benefits
- Attractive Country Teaching Program Allowance of $10,210 per year.
- District allowance of $8,361 per year.
- 12% employer contribution to superannuation.
- 12 weeks’ vacation leave (school holidays).
