- Applications Close: 09/06/ :30 PM Located in the Education, Training and Research precinct on Wireless Road, set to open in 2026, Limestone Coast Technical College will provide students with access to industry training on a part-time basis while staying enrolled in their home school. It will support not only public students from across the Limestone Coast Region, but will also be open to students from the private school sector. Limestone Coast Technical College will have short stay accommodation facilities on site and offer four industry training programs for careers in Agri-tech (for careers in forestry, agriculture and manufacturing), Early Childhood and Education, Health and Social Support, and Multi-trades (for careers as plumbers, builders, electricians). We are searching for overnight accommodation officers to join our team and make a positive impact on our students. The hours are negotiable and can vary from casual to full time hours, with the start date to be confirmed. What You Will Do
- Student Support: Support the daily care and development of students, ensuring their physical, emotional, social, and cultural wellbeing.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and policies, conduct routine checks, and assist with emergency incidents to maintain a secure setting for students.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Assist with student induction, maintain communication with parents and guardians, and participate in meetings with external agencies to support student wellbeing and progress. What You Will Need
- Demonstrated experience working with young people in a residential, educational, youth work or care setting.
- Sound understanding of adolescent development, child protection, and trauma-informed care.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop respectful, caring relationships with young people.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviours, using appropriate behaviour management strategies and demonstrating resilience in high-pressure situations. Job Details Salary: $85,234
- $93,902 per annum (FTE / Temporary Salary Loading). Salary is dependent upon your current employment status with the Department for Education, tenure and hours per week. The salary stated is based on an employee working 52 weeks per annum, full time equivalent. The successful applicant will be employed under the appropriate mode of employment. Please note that part time and flexible arrangements will be considered.
