About the Role/Roles We currently have two positions available for Technical Sales Engineer/Representative based in NSW (Marsden Park) & QLD (Larapinta, Brisbane) This position provides an exciting entry into a global leader in steam and industrial fluid system solutions. Steam continues to play a critical role in modern industry, and we remain at the forefront of its efficient and sustainable application. This role is ideally suited to candidates with backgrounds in mechanical, mechatronics, chemical, or marine engineering, offering the prospect to apply technical knowledge in a practical, customer-focused environment. Reporting to the NSW State Manager / QLD State Manager, you will work across a variety of industry sectors, with a key focus on Food & Beverage and manufacturing industries. You will support customers in achieving their sustainability goals, including reducing CO₂ emissions, improving water efficiency, and enhancing process productivity. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will work both independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team to:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, while actively identifying new business opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with service teams to deliver comprehensive support for customer steam systems.
- Conduct regular site visits to customer manufacturing facilities within your assigned region.
- Prepare, manage, and follow up on quotations for products and services.
- Develop your expertise in Spirax Sarco solutions and sustainability practices through structured training at the Spirax Academy and guidance from experienced mentors.
- Utilise MS Dynamics CRM as a territory and customer management tool. Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and a proactive safety mindset.
- Interest in or experience with technical sales, industrial applications, or B2B environments.
- Exposure to manufacturing, production, or maintenance processes.
- A genuine interest in sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including CRM systems and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a willingness to develop presentation capabilities.
- Understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) and Work Health & Safety (WHS) standards
- A current and valid driver’s licence.
