Intermediate / Senior Accountant – Business Services & Advisory Peak Value Advisory | Brisbane Southside Peak Value Advisory is a growing accounting and advisory firm specialising in taxation, business advisory, wealth creation and property-focused strategies for business owners, investors and SMSFs. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Intermediate / Senior Accountant with 3+ years Australian public practice experience to join our team. This role is ideal for an accountant who is technically capable, proactive and looking to further develop within an advisory-focused environment. You will work closely with business owners and investors across a broad range of accounting, taxation and advisory matters. Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and SMSF
- Preparation and review of BAS and IAS lodgements
- Preparation of workpapers and supporting documentation
- Assisting with tax planning and year-end tax strategies
- Liaising directly with clients regarding accounting and taxation matters
- Managing client queries and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Assisting with business structuring, CGT, Division 7A and advisory matters
- Supporting clients with cloud accounting and Xero-related matters
- Managing workflow and deadlines across a portfolio of clients
- Contributing to continuous improvement of systems and processes About You
- Minimum 3 years experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm
- Strong understanding of Australian taxation and compliance requirements
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns across multiple entity types
- Experience using Xero and cloud-based accounting systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and time management abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- CPA/CA commenced or completed preferred
