We are looking for a motivated and capable Cook to become part of our kitchen team. This position suits someone who enjoys working in a busy setting, collaborates well with others, and takes pride in consistently delivering high-quality food. The right candidate will be organised, able to juggle multiple tasks, remain composed under pressure, and have a solid grasp of day-to-day kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
In line with standard expectations for this role, your duties will include: Preparing and cooking menu items to a high standard, following set recipes and strict cooking methods Checking ingredients and dishes throughout preparation to ensure quality and freshness Monitoring and adjusting temperatures of ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment Portioning, seasoning, and presenting dishes, including final garnishing and sauce application Ensuring proper food storage in line with temperature control and safety requirements Catering to special dietary requests when required Upholding strict hygiene and food safety standards, including cleaning and sanitation procedures Working closely with team members, including liaising with managers and front-of-house staff on service and preparation matters
Qualifications & Skills Education/Experience: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or at least two years’ experience in a commercial kitchen Technical Skills: Experience working in a high-volume kitchen with a strong understanding of fast-paced service environments Communication & Teamwork: Robust interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively Flexibility: Able to perform under pressure and work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends

Pay: $76,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
