In a permanent, full‑time position commencing Term 3, 2026 Small school, big heart. At Brunswick Junction Primary School (PS), our staff and community work together through our shared beliefs to support all children to reach their potential. We have a strong focus on student wellbeing and work closely with our families to ensure every student has a robust sense of belonging to our school. The school draws its students from the town of Brunswick Junction and the surrounding rural district. The town is located on the Southwest Highway, 160 kilometres from Perth, 25 kilometres from Bunbury and 10 kilometres from Australind. Role We are seeking a Year 1/2 teacher to join our small team at Brunswick Junction PS. Suitable candidates will demonstrate a belief that all children can learn and be successful, and will be creative, recognise student individualities, and celebrate cultural diversity. They will be committed to ongoing professional growth, support current whole school processes, and implement PBS within the classroom and across the school. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high‑quality teaching programs such as Talk 4 Writing, UFLI, Origo, Bond Blocks, and Friendly Schools.
- Using evidence‑based teaching practices to improve student achievement and progress.
- Utilising data to differentiate learning and evaluate impact on student progress.
- Building strong relationships with students, staff and the school community.
- Implementing proactive strategies to support and improve student behaviour and engagement.
- Actively participating in professional learning networks.
- Contributing to a distributed leadership model; Level 3 teachers or aspirants encouraged to apply. Qualifications
- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check and be absolved of a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check before starting.
- Show proficiency in the Western Australian Curriculum and ability to deliver the above programs. Professional Benefits

- 12 percent employer contributions to superannuation.
- 12 weeks’ vacation leave (school holidays).
- More than 20 days of other leave, including sick leave and carers’ leave.
- Free relocation. Mobility Appointment Eligible permanent teachers holding a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school, may elect to undertake this role as a 3‑year mobility appointment with a right of return to their substantive position.
