Security Guard/crowd Controller (Brunswick East)

**JOB AD: Security Guard & Crowd Controller

**Location**: Brunswick West, Melbourne, VIC **Position**: Security Guard / Crowd Controller **Employment Type**: Part-time **Friday and Saturday**

**Time: 1830 to 2400**

We are seeking **experienced, reliable, and physically capable** Security Guards and Crowd Controllers to join our team for busy Melbourne nightclubs and late-night venues.

**About the Role**

You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, controlled, and positive environment for all patrons and staff. This position requires strong situational awareness, confidence, and professionalism at all times.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensuring the **safety and wellbeing** of customers and staff
- Monitoring venue entry and exit points
- Managing patron behaviour and **de-escalating conflicts**:

- Removing or refusing entry to **unruly or unwanted patrons** in a safe and lawful manner
- Conducting regular venue checks and responding quickly to incidents
- Working closely with management to uphold venue policies and RSA requirements

**Requirements**:

- **Valid Victorian Security Licence** with Crowd Controller endorsement
- **Proven experience** as a crowd controller in Melbourne nightclubs or similar high-traffic venues
- Strong communication skills and a professional, confident presence
- Ability to **physically perform duties**, including resolving conflicts and safely removing patrons when required
- Good fitness level and the ability to stand for long periods
- Strong awareness, judgement, and ability to remain calm under pressure
- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) is preferred
