About The Role

We’re looking for a motivated Demi Chef to join our welcoming kitchen team at a busy education site in Parkville.

In this hands-on role, you’ll help prepare fresh, nutritious meals for students in a fast-paced school catering environment. You’ll work closely with experienced chefs, gaining valuable skills and building your career in a supportive team setting.

Enjoy a genuine work-life benefit with a summer stand-down period (December-January), giving you extended time off over the holidays to recharge and spend time with family and friends.

- Prepare and assist in the service of fresh, high-quality meals, including bulk cooking
- Support Senior Chefs in daily kitchen operations
- Undertake general kitchen duties, including dishwashing and cleaning
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in accordance with food safety standards
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team-oriented kitchen team
- Deliver consistent, high-quality food service within a busy catering environment Skills and Experiences:

About You


- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food preparation role
- Experience in school or large-scale catering (highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Positive attitude with a genuine passion for food and service
- Ability to work independently and within a team Who We Are
