**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**

As a Disability Support Worker with Candocare Services, your duties will include, but are not limited to: **Assisting clients with personal care, including daily hygiene, dressing, and grooming.**

**Providing support with household tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry.**

**Facilitating community access and social participation, including transportation to appointments, social outings, and recreational activities.**

**Offering emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.**

**Adhering to individual support plans and promoting client independence.**

**Maintaining accurate and timely records of support provided.**

**Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and the Candocare Services team.**

**Qualifications and Skills**

**Ability to work independently and as part of a team.**

**Robust problem-solving skills and adaptability.**

**Physical ability to perform duties required by the role.**

**A valid Australian Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.**

**Current First Aid and CPR certificates.**

**A National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).**

**Understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) principles (desirable).**

**Education and Experience**

**While formal qualifications are not always required, a Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, Home and Community Care, or Individual Support is highly regarded.**

**Previous experience in a disability support role, or a similar caregiving capacity, is beneficial.Benefits of Working with Candocare Services**
