About the Role As our Cook, you’ll play an important role in preparing quality meals and maintaining a safe, clean kitchen environment. Working as part of a supportive team, you’ll help ensure residents enjoy nutritious, delicious meals every day. Your responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking meals in line with menu plans and dietary requirements
- Assisting with food preparation and protected food handling
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
- Monitoring fridge and freezer temperatures and completing basic records
- Assisting with ordering and stock control
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver a positive dining experience About You You’re organised, reliable and enjoy working in a role where your work truly matters, with ideally at least 1 year’s experience as a commercial cook, as well as
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and kitchen cleaning practices
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic computer skills (Outlook and internet use)
- A national police clearance (or willing to obtain)
