About the business:

Rowcon Group is the largest privately owned construction and demolition waste recycler on the Sunshine Coast. We specialise in concrete recycling and construction waste management at our purpose-built state-of-the-art recycling facility located in Caloundra. We process concrete, brick, and asphalt materials into high-quality drainage aggregates and roadbase products, supplying civil contractors and major infrastructure projects with environmentally sustainable solutions

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the waste management team, ensuring efficiency and safety.

Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive and productive work workplace.

Monitor work performance and provide training to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.

Assist in the planning and execution of waste management projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

Communicate effectively with team members to address any operational challenges.

Managing and coordinating onsite preventive maintenance alongside of the maintenance officer

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a similar supervisory or leading hand role within the waste management, recycling, quarrying or related industry.

Solid knowledge of waste management practices and safety regulations.

Applicants need to be experienced and proficient in operating front end loaders & excavators. Knowledge of processing equipment & screening plants

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
