Cook/Chef Position at China City Garden
Join our dynamic team as a full-time Cook/Chef at China City Garden, a renowned restaurant located in Bunbury W.A. We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record in the hospitality industry to contribute to our exciting culinary environment.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a cook in a fast-paced environment
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver high-quality food
- Familiar with Australian health and safety regulations applicable to the hospitality industry
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to foster relationships within a team-based environment
- Be available for work on most days, including weekends
- Availability for full-time work (38 hours per week)
- Valid work authorisation to work in Australia required

Responsibilities:
- Assisting in menu planning, recipe development, implementation and refine menu items
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals and food items
- Cater to customers with special dietary requirements and allergies
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations, implementing effective quality control measures
- Maintain adherence to cooking methods, portions, and recipes
- Uphold a clean and well-presented kitchen, compliant with food safety standards
- Contribute to a safe and friendly work environment as an integral part of the team
-Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
-Regulating temperatures of fryer, oven and other cooking equipment
-Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
-May train other kitchen staff and apprentices

We offer a competitive salary package of $75,000 to $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.
