Working collaboratively across borders and disciplines, you’ll join a leading team working on interesting and complex projects. What you’ll do We’re looking for a motivated Civil Engineer to join our Mining Sustaining Capital team at WSP Australia. You’ll be part of a cooperative team delivering a diverse portfolio of sustaining capital and brownfield infrastructure projects for our mining clients across Australia.
- Develop in-house designs for earthworks, drainage, basins, sediment ponds, sewer, water and access roads.
- Conduct infrastructure gap analyses, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
- Prepare technical documents including Basis of Design, design reports, specifications, and bill of quantities.
- Review and challenge consultant outputs to optimise cost and schedule.
- Support project optioneering and risk mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary projects and provide input into Project Management tasks.
- Engage with stakeholders, contractors, and other discipline leads to ensure integration and compliance. About You

- Bachelor/'s Degree in Civil Engineering
- A minimum of 3 years experience in civil design and infrastructure delivery
- Background in large-scale projects such as road, drainage, earthworks, sewer and water infrastructure
- Desirable proficiency in stormwater modelling and design tools, and software such as TUFLOW, DRAINS, 12D, AutoTURN/Vehicle Tracking, and QGIS
- Strong technical writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver concept to construction-phase designs
- Skilled in technical documentation and risk communication
