We are seeking a motivated Network & Systems Administrator who wants to learn from a global technical authority while owning the operational excellence of a modernised, enterprise-grade environment. Job Description As the Network & Systems Administrator, you are the “Operational Engine” of the Infrastructure & Security team. Reporting directly to the Principal IT Infrastructure & System Security, you will manage a recently refreshed technical network estate, including a new Cisco Core Stack, Ubiquiti, Fortinet/Meraki security perimeter, and an optimised Windows Server 2019/2022 environment. You will act as a Level 2/3 escalation point for complex incidents and service requests while contributing to infrastructure improvements, system security, operational continuity and technology planning initiatives. The role works closely with internal stakeholders, vendors and service providers to ensure systems remain reliable, secure and aligned with organisational needs. - Base annual salary $90,000
- 94,000 per annum dependent on skills, experience, and qualifications
- Annual leave loading of 17.5%

We are looking for an individual who values Logic, Sovereignty, and As-Built Documentation. To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Behaviour that positively demonstrates the Shire’s HEART of: Honesty, Empathy, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork
- Experience supporting and administering IT infrastructure including networks, servers and end-user environments
- The ability to diagnose complex hybervisor, routing, or identity issues independently
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across infrastructure and systems
- Knowledge of networking concepts, operating systems and enterprise infrastructure technologies
- Experience with cybersecurity practices including patching, MFA, endpoint protection (SOE hardening based on CIS Benchmarks) and backup management
- Demonstrated ability to produce and maintain accurate technical documentation and runbooks.
- A growth mindset and strong curiosity/desire to master new technologies (i.e., containerisation/Docker or hypervisors like XCP-ng/Xen Orchestra)
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Knowledge and experience in Microsoft 365, Azure, ERP systems and IT service management frameworks will be highly regarded.
