Medical Receptionist (Bunbury)

Job Summary We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our supportive team at SWHC. You will be the welcoming face and voice of Apex Radiology
- supporting patients, referrers, and our clinical teams with high-quality service and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and manage front‑desk responsibilities in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Answer telephone enquiries and respond efficiently and sensitively to patient needs.
- Schedule patient appointments and determine examination requirements.
- Communicate preparation instructions, procedure costs, and billing information clearly to patients.
- Register patients, manage paperwork, and handle billing and EFTPOS transactions.
- Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of reports.
- Perform Medicare and Veterans Affairs claims batching.
- Support other administrative tasks as directed by management. Qualifications
- Familiarity with patient booking and entry systems preferred but not required (RIS experience highly regarded).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology preferable but not required.
- High level of professionalism, empathy, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Accuracy in data entry and confident use of Microsoft Office and practice software.
- Cash handling and EFTPOS experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to work across multiple sites if required. Benefits
