Engineer – Senior Project Electrical (Bunbury)

Senior Project Electrical Engineer Location: Regional Western Australia – Barrow Island Type: Permanent – Full time Lead a collaborative team delivering electrical construction and project works on one of Australia’s most significant remote industrial sites. Responsibilities
- Lead assigned electrical project scopes from planning through to completion.
- Support the Project Manager with project delivery, commercial performance, and resource planning.
- Coordinate electrical engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Drive compliance with contract requirements, technical standards, quality expectations, and site procedures.
- Monitor budget, progress, risk, opportunities, and productivity across assigned scopes.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to project engineers and site-based teams.
- Review and manage technical queries, scope changes, work packs, planning inputs, and execution strategies.
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Identify and implement practical solutions to complex project and technical issues.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure HSEQ obligations are met across all activities.
- Contribute to forecasting, reporting, programme reviews, and project performance discussions.
- Support subcontractor and supplier engagement, performance, and coordination. Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Solid experience in an electrical project delivery role within resources, industrial, oil and gas, utilities, or related sectors.
- Previous experience in a senior or lead project engineering capacity.
- Solid understanding of electrical construction, project controls, and commercial drivers.
- Ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple work fronts in a remote project environment.
- Construction White Card.
- Current drivers licence.
- Valid Australian working rights.
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance. Benefits
