The Role
- Day shift and Night shift availability
- Maintenance and Punchlist experience highly regarded
- Maintain all correct consumables, feeds, amperages and pre heat in accordance with applicable weld procedures
- Weld steel structures in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion of steel components
- Remove tack welds, clean and restore weld preparations where required
- Solid understanding of current Australian Welding Standards.
- Welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW and Arc air gouging.
- Ability to pass weld tests 3G, 4G and 6G
- Follow quality control systems and techniques About You
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
- Construction White Card
- Work Safely at Heights (within 2 years of issue)
- Enter and Work in Confined Space (within 2 years of issue)
- Gas Test Atmospheres (desirable)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens
