Picker / Packer – Freezer Department (Bundaberg Central)

Rum City Foods is a local, family owned and operated foodservice distributor with depots in Bundaberg, Maryborough and Gladstone. We are looking for reliable, energetic and hardworking individuals to join our team at the Bundaberg Depot as a full-time Picker/Packer in the Freezer Department. There are 2 shifts available for this role, both Monday to Friday
- one early start / early finish; 2nd shift mid-morning to early evening. Your duties will include but aren't limited to:
- Pick & pack customer orders accurately either paper-based or using Voice Picking headsets / scanners
- Aim to achieve 100% accuracy KPIs
- Load trucks in a timely manner to ensure all customers receive deliveries in full and on time whilst following the correct processes
- Assist with managing incoming stock into the freezer and ensure that stock is placed in the correct location
- Assist with stock replenishment daily, rotate stock regularly and check Used by Dates constantly
- Ensure stock receipt, temperature checks and Compliance HACCP logs are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Cleaning, operating and maintaining equipment / depot
- Handle products with due care at all times
- Maintain good communication and a good working relationship with all co-workers
- Maintain HACCP & FSQ (Food Safety Quality) standards
- Maintain WHS safe and healthy work practices
- Ensure all company equipment and facilities are correctly maintained Skills and experience:
- Current Forklift Licence is a mandatory requirement
- Ideally you will have picking/packing experience both paper-based and using Voice Picking headsets / RF scanners
- Prior experience working in a freezer workplace (down to -25°C) is an advantage
- To be reliable
- Possess a high level of accuracy with attention to detail
- Candidates should be physically fit as there is repetitive manual lifting involved in performing this role
- A good work ethic, who values honesty
