About The Opportunity The Administration Support Officer plays a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the Childers Neighbourhood Centre. This position provides high‑quality administrative, reception and customer service support to the Community Development Officer and Centre Coordinators, while also assisting with the delivery of community programs, projects and events. As the first point of contact for many community members, the role is essential in delivering a welcoming, empathetic and skilled service that supports positive community outcomes About You To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
- Demonstrated experience providing confidential, client‑focused administrative support in a professional environment.
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with a diverse range of people.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, while managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated capacity to act professionally and discreetly when handling sensitive or confidential matters.
- Experience using corporate systems, maintaining accurate records and managing administrative data.
- Experience working in a community services or neighbourhood centre environment, including supporting community programs, projects or events, and engaging with a broad cross‑section of the community (highly regarded).
