Here is what you should know… About the role We are seeking a Management Accountant to partner closely with our Avocado and Mango Farming Managers and Orchard Managers to support sound commercial decision‑making and achieve the business’s short, medium, and long‑term financial objectives. This role is hands‑on and operationally focused, providing financial insight through the preparation, analysis, and reporting of farm performance. You will support improvements in operational efficiency, labour utilisation, inventory management, CAPEX planning, and the effective use of farm management and payroll systems. Responsibilities
- Partner with Farming Managers and Orchard Managers to provide financial reporting, analysis, and decision support.
- Work closely with other Management Accountants to ensure consistency and alignment across finance reporting.
- Support the implementation and effective use of farm management systems (e.g. Fieldin, AgWorld).
- Prepare CAPEX requests, including financial justifications and supporting documentation.
- Assist with payroll analysis through Human Force, including review of labour hours and efficiency.
- Analyse monthly farm results with managers to drive reviews, insights, and actions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports, including journals for fertiliser and chemical usage, crop WIP, and capital WIP.
- Complete statutory and regulatory reporting, including diesel rebates, freight rebates, and ABS reports.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning.
- Support farm production (yield) tracking and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting tools and processes.
- Respond to ad‑hoc information requests and analysis.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the business. To be successful in this role you will need
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or relevant experience
- Accounting and Administration experience
- ERP system knowledge and experience (Concur, SAP B1)
- Commercial business experience
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to deliver and discuss financial results to all levels of the organisation
- Ability to provide margin analysis on sales information
- Ability to prepare monthly corporate reports
- Ability to identify reporting tools to make processes more efficient
- Experience in product costing and comparison
- Management of ad-hoc information requests and analysis

What You Should Know About Our Operations Our business is widespread, growing walnuts, almonds and bees in the Riverina Region in New South Wales, pecans in Moree and macadamias, avocados and mangoes in Bundaberg, Queensland. Off the paddock, we operate nut processing and packing facilities in Leeton, Toowoomba and Bundaberg as well as fruit packing and processing in Bundaberg. In addition, our shared services teams (Finance, Sales, ESG, Safety and People & Culture) are located across all of our sites as well as the Brisbane, Melbourne and Griffith offices.
