Packaging / Forklift Operators (Bundaberg Central)

NOW HIRING – PACKAGING / FORKLIFT OPERATORS As one of Australia’s largest cane growers, Bundaberg Sugar proudly operates a Sugar Mill, Refinery, and Packaging Plant in East Bundy. Bundaberg Sugar Ltd is seeking several Packaging / Forklift Operators to join the packaging team on a casual basis, with the prospect to transition into a permanent full-time role. This role involves shift work across a 4-week rotating cycle, including 8-hour and 12-hour shifts covering day, afternoon, and night shifts. Operating on a 6-day roster and required to work 2 weekends out of every 4. Key Responsibilities
- Packing various products using relevant equipment to meet production targets, in line with established operational parameters and plans.
- Operate line at a production rate that matches or exceeds required / expected production rates.
- Operating forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading trucks.
- Moving stock within the warehouse or site.
- Assisting with general warehouse duties as required.
- Adhering to workplace health and safety procedures. About You
- Experience in packaging processes, Quality requirements and related maintenance skills.
- Current drivers licence.
- Experienced in operating packaging machine.
- Current High Risk Work Licence (LF) – mandatory.
- Proven forklift experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
- Confident in loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.
- Ability to stack and unstack pallets at height.
- Experience with pallet racking systems.
