About Us The Italian Job Catering is a premium catering company based on the Gold Coast, specialising in weddings and events. We focus on delivering high-quality food and seamless event experiences, with a strong emphasis on organisation, communication, and attention to detail. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for someone to step into a key role within the business and take ownership across operations and event coordination. About the Role This is a hands-on role combining event planning, client communication, and operational management. You will play a key role in ensuring all events are organised, detailed, and executed to a high standard, while also supporting and improving internal systems and processes. This is not just a coordination role — we’re looking for someone who can take ownership, be proactive, and run with responsibilities independently. Key Responsibilities
- Managing final stages of events (3 months leading up to execution)
- Communicating with clients, venues, and organisers
- Finalising run sheets, timelines, and event details
- Coordinating event teams and rostering
- Maintaining a fully up-to-date event calendar
- Supporting enquiries and assisting with quoting structure
- Overseeing warehouse preparation and weekly operations
- Coordinating with kitchen and running weekly planning meetings
- Supervising marketing activity and ensuring brand consistency
- Identifying and implementing improvements across systems and processes What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in weddings, events, or hospitality
- Is highly organised and detail-oriented
- Communicates clearly and professionally (native level of English is ideal)
- Takes ownership and works proactively
- Is confident making decisions and managing responsibilities
