Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Fitter to play a vital role in maintaining and optimising our processing equipment at our Retail Ready facility in the beautiful Burleigh Heads, QLD. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and resolving faults, and contributing to a safe and efficient operation.

**What's the Gig?**
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
- Work collaboratively with the operations team to ensure smooth workflow.
- Conduct regular inspections and implement preventative maintenance plans.
- Provide technical support for hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with safety and quality standards.

Desired Skills and Experience

**What you'll need to bring**:

- **Trade Qualification**: Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
- **Experience**: Proven fault-finding skills with previous experience in a fast-paced FMCG environment. Experience in the meat industry or similar FMCG sectors is highly desirable.
- **Technical Skills**: Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- **Communication**: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- **Problem Solving**: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
