The Italian Job Catering is a premium catering company based on the Gold Coast, specialising in weddings and events.

We focus on delivering high-quality food and seamless event experiences, with a strong emphasis on organisation, communication, and attention to detail.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for someone to step into a key role within the business and take ownership across operations and event coordination.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role combining event planning, client communication, and operational management.

You will play a key role in ensuring all events are organised, detailed, and executed to a high standard, while also supporting and improving internal systems and processes.

This is not just a coordination role — we’re looking for someone who can take ownership, be proactive, and run with responsibilities independently.

Key Responsibilities

Managing final stages of events (3 months leading up to execution)

Communicating with clients, venues, and organisers

Finalising run sheets, timelines, and event details

Coordinating event teams and rostering

Maintaining a fully up-to-date event calendar

Supporting enquiries and assisting with quoting structure

Overseeing warehouse preparation and weekly operations

Coordinating with kitchen and running weekly planning meetings

Supervising marketing activity and ensuring brand consistency

Identifying and implementing improvements across systems and processes

What We’re Looking For

Has experience in weddings, events, or hospitality

Is highly organised and detail-oriented

Communicates clearly and professionally (native level of English is ideal)

Takes ownership and works proactively

Is confident making decisions and managing responsibilities

Is solutions-focused and able to problem-solve independently

Brings a positive, energetic attitude to the team

Full time position based on the Gold Coast

Salary based on experience

Some involvement in events required

Pay: $75,000.00
- $85,000.00 per year
