We are partnering with a global leader in mining technology to recruit a BPG Validation Engineer to join a high‐performing integration and testing team supporting advanced underground mining systems. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing technical investigation, field‐based testing, and collaboration with global engineering teams. You'll work with industry‐leading autonomous and remote operation technologies in real‐world proving ground and underground mining environments. About the Role As a BPG Validation Engineer , you will play a key role in validating software releases, machine integration, and underground technology systems prior to deployment into operational mining environments. Working within a global integration testing team, you'll be involved in planning, executing, troubleshooting, and analysing testing activities across a range of autonomous and remote‐controlled mining technologies. This role offers excellent variety, combining: Software and systems validation Hands‐on machine testing Hardware and communication troubleshooting Stakeholder collaboration Field and proving ground activities Key Responsibilities Develop and execute test plans for software releases and new technology features Perform on‐machine validation and integration testing of underground mining systems Operate underground mining machines and autonomy systems during testing activities Identify, document, and manage software and system defects Analyse subsystem issues and coordinate corrective actions with engineering teams Support installation and evaluation of machine and off‐machine hardware systems Troubleshoot software, networking, and communication‐related issues Collect and analyse testing data using development and diagnostic tools Collaborate with product groups on testing schedules and release planning Support customer demonstrations, training activities, and proving ground events Contribute to system requirements and feature validation processes About You You are a proactive and technically capable engineer who enjoys solving complex real‐world problems. You're comfortable working both independently and collaboratively and enjoy seeing projects through from concept to completion. You will ideally bring: Degree qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline 3+ years' experience in integration testing, validation, or systems engineering Strong troubleshooting and problem‐solving capability Experience working with software, hardware, or communications systems Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills A willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites and testing facilities Highly Regarded Experience Networking and radio communications Hardware‐in‐the‐loop or real‐system testing Data link analysis and diagnostic tools Software development or testing tools Mining technology or heavy mobile equipment experience Leadership or team coordination capability What's on Offer Opportunity to work with industry‐leading autonomous mining technology Global organisation with strong career development pathways Hands‐on testing in advanced proving ground environments Exposure to international teams and projects Cooperative and innovation‐driven culture Competitive salary package and long‐term career opportunities Important Information Based in Burnie office
