Residential Estimator (Burpengary East)

We are seeking an experienced Residential Construction Estimator to join the growing team at Saltwood Homes. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in both Production and Sales Estimating, who can also assist with developing systems, processes, and efficiencies as the business continues to scale. Residential Construction Estimator About the Role As our Residential Construction Estimator, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and efficient estimating across both pre-contract and post-contract stages of the build process. You will work closely with Sales, Preconstruction, Suppliers, and Supervision to ensure pricing accuracy, streamlined workflows, and consistent project outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate Sales and Production Estimates for residential homes
- Review plans, engineering, specifications, and tender documentation
- Complete detailed take-offs and BOQs
- Send and manage Purchase Orders to suppliers and subcontractors
- Review client colour selections and pricing upgrades
- Prepare variation pricing and cost analysis
- Identify discrepancies between plans, engineering, and contract documentation
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing
- Assist with developing and refining estimating systems and workflows
- Maintain and improve estimating databases and templates
- Work collaboratively with internal staff, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Support implementation and optimisation of Wunderbuild software across the estimating function About You
- Extensive experience in residential construction estimating
- Strong background in both Production and Sales Estimating
- Experience working with volume or custom home builders
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and terminology
- Experience using Wunderbuild software (highly regarded)
- Experience setting up systems, processes, and workflows within an estimating department
- Ability to take ownership and contribute to the growth of the business
- Strong team player
- Able to collaborate effectively with sales, drafting, construction, and administration teams to achieve project outcomes and maintain workflow efficiency. What We Offer
