- Lead the development and execution of category and sourcing strategies aligned to organisational priorities
- Deliver complex, high-value procurement activities, including negotiations and contract execution
- Provide strategic procurement and commercial advice to senior stakeholders
- Lead, coach and develop procurement team members and cross-functional project teams
- Partner with business units to shape demand, pipeline planning, and sourcing approaches
- Analyse market trends, innovation, and supplier landscapes to inform strategy
- Ensure strong governance, probity, and compliance with NSW Government procurement frameworks
- Identify and manage procurement risks while driving value-for-money outcomes
- Drive continuous improvement and uplift procurement capability across the organisation Multiple roles are available. Roles that provide services to Roads Maintenance Resilience are available statewide. Roles that provide services to other areas of Transport for NSW are located in Parramatta. About you You are a strategic procurement professional with strong leadership capability and experience operating in complex, high-value environments. You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading complex procurement or category management activities in government, infrastructure, or large-scale organisations
- Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate business needs into effective procurement strategies
- Proven ability to lead, influence and build trusted relationships with senior and diverse stakeholders
- Experience managing complex sourcing processes, including negotiation of high-value contracts
- Deep understanding of procurement governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present insights and influence decision-making Highly regarded:
- Experience managing high performing procurement teams
- Experience in infrastructure, facilities management, construction, or direct procurement categories
- Working knowledge of the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework, The Public Works and Procurement Act 1912 and relevant policies.
