Baker and Cake Icing (Strathfield)

**Responsibilities**: Responsible for operating the bakery section of the kitchen for the creation, decoration, and presentation of all bakery items on the menu while working closely with the Head Chef and Bakery Chefs.

**Duties**:

- Mixing, preparing, baking, and producing pastries, breads, rolls, cookies, and desserts.
- Using scales. graded containers, measures, weighs flour or other materials to make batters, doughs, fillings, or whipped cream.
- Create and prepare all bakery items as required by the business
- Decorate the creations and produce visually appealing, eye-catching confections
- Develop, designs, or creates recent ideas and items for Bakery Kitchen
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized at all times
- Assisting head chef in planning menus for dessert and bakery products
- Oversee a team of junior bakery cooks and other staff members as necessary
- Maintain up to date knowledge about bakery trends and ingredients
- Managing and monitoring food stocks and selecting and ordering raw materials
- Ensuring that work is performed in compliance with all applicable safety and hygiene requirements

Pay: $26.00
- $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38
- 45 per week

**Experience**:

- Bakers or Cake Icing: 2 years (preferred)
