Role and Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair data and telecommunications cabling infrastructure.
Perform comprehensive testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of issues related to data and telecommunications cabling systems.
Expertly terminate and connect cables to network equipment, data outlets, and various telecommunications devices.
Interpret cabling plans and schematics with precision to ensure accurate installation and seamless connectivity.
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to coordinate cabling projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Adhere rigorously to safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a secure and hazard-free work setting.
Maintain meticulous records of cabling installations, repairs, and testing procedures.
Provide technical support and guidance to clients and end-users on data and telecommunications infrastructure.
Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications Certificate III in Data and Voice Communications or equivalent qualification (Preferred).
Three years of experience can be used in lieu of the qualification.
Other Skills Proven experience as a Cabler in the data and telecommunications field.
Solid knowledge of cabling standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
Familiarity with a variety of cabling systems, including copper and fiber-optic.
Proficient in using testing equipment and tools for cable verification and troubleshooting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
