Purchasing & Procurement Officer Royal Formwork Solutions – Strathfield, NSW Industry: Construction / Formwork Systems: MYOB Acumatica (preferred) About the Role Royal Formwork Solutions is expanding our team and are now seeking an additional experienced and highly organised Purchasing & Procurement Officer to continue to support our growing operations. This role is more senior than a standard purchasing position and will work closely with the General Manager, Operations, Finance, and Senior Leadership to ensure strong supply chain performance, accurate inventory control, and efficient procurement processes. You will play a key role in supporting staff, improving systems, and ensuring the business maintains reliable supply of both domestic and imported products. Key Responsibilities Procurement & Purchasing
- Assist with procurement of domestic and imported inventory, working closely with the Genera lManager.
- Forecast stock requirements based on usage, project demand, and supplier lead times.
- Raise purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain accurate records in MYOB Acumatica.
- Support the development and improvement of procurement processes and best practices. Inventory Management & Control
- Assist with monthly stocktakes, stock variance reviews, and working close with the Accounting Team
- Monitor stock levels and highlight shortages, delays, or supply risks.
- Identify inventory issues and escalate concerns to CFO & Management.
- Support Sales, Warehouse and Operations teams with stock queries and product availability. Supplier & Delivery Coordination
- Manage the process of deliveries and container collections, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of goods.
- Resolve delivery issues, shortages, and discrepancies promptly.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply.
- Review supplier performance, lead times, and pricing to support continuous improvement. Financial & Administrative Duties
- Enter supplier purchase orders, invoices, and match delivery dockets.
- Ensure supplier invoices are correct — verifying pricing, quantities, contracts, and approvals.
- Assist Finance with month‑end close for procurement‑related transactions.
- Support budgeting, cost control, and reporting activities. Future / Advanced Responsibilities (as the role grows)
- Manage imported product documentation, including compliance with Due Diligence regulations and Supplier Confidentiality Agreements.
- Oversee imported inventory budgeting and actual costing processes.
- Support compliance activities relating to the Illegal Logging Prohibition Act and due diligence requirements.
- Assist with supplier audits and documentation verification. Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing or procurement within the construction, formwork, or building materials industry.
- Strong working knowledge of MYOB Acumatica (preferred).
- Solid understanding of construction materials, suppliers, and industry lead times.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier‑management skills.
- High level of accuracy in data entry and record‑keeping.
- Solid problem‑solving ability and capacity to work under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
