Agricultural Consultant (Anniebrook)

Yallingup Organic Dairy is a certified organic dairy operation based in regional Western Australia, specialising in sustainable livestock production and high-quality dairy products. The business operates using advanced organic and regenerative farming practices and requires specialised knowledge in herd health, nutrition, and production systems. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Agricultural Consultant (Dairy Production) to support and enhance our livestock production systems. This is a full-time, ongoing position offering a salary between $85,000- $95,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience. Key Responsibilities  Provide technical advice on dairy production, including herd health, breeding and feeding programs  Develop and implement herd management strategies to improve productivity and animal welfare  Oversee breeding programs, including artificial insemination and reproductive planning  Monitor and analyse herd performance data, including milk yield and health outcomes  Provide specialised care for cows and calves following birth  Design and manage pasture systems using rotational grazing techniques  Implement biosecurity and disease prevention programs  Develop feeding and nutrition strategies to optimise production efficiency  Ensure compliance with organic dairy standards and milk quality requirements  Support and guide farm staff to ensure effective day-to-day operations Requirements  Relevant qualification at Bachelor level or higher in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field  At least 3 years relevant experience in livestock/dairy production  Demonstrated knowledge of herd health, breeding, nutrition, and pasture management  Ability to work autonomously and productively  Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions  Strong organisational and communication skills  Ability to work in a regional workplace  Ability to work flexible hours, including split shifts where required How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience to with the subject line “Agricultural Consultant” Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjobau.com/job/3qg6rj
