Plumber - Water Technician (City of Busselton)

Work Location Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people. Roster 7 dayshift, 7 R&R; (dayshift only) FIFO ex Perth & Busselton. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preventative and reactive plumbing maintenance
- Diagnosing, repair and installation of commercial, domestic and industrial plumbing systems
- Scheduled maintenance and breakdown fault finding on a wide range of infrastructure equipment
- Liaise with the planning team to ensure planned maintenance schedule is implemented successfully
- Ensuring that water entering plant is treated to meet regulatory standards
- Regulate water flow through stages of treatment
- Using proper methods to treat water, monitor plant for unclean water, and correct any problems as soon as possible
- Ensuring the proper execution of water treatment processes while complying with all safety requirements Qualifications & Experience
- WA Plumbing Tradesperson Licence along with a Gas Fitting and Installation ticket
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of Potable and Waste Water Systems (desirable) Plumbers contractor's license
- Experience operating a treatment plant
- Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience with SCADA including the ability to analyse trends
- Knowledge about water treatment process, chemicals, filtration, and other aspects of water treatment.
- Operator must have the ability to read and understand water treatment plant schematics, manuals, and other documents in order to carry out daily tasks
- Minimum WA C Class Driver's Licence
